Embellishments for Carnival 2012

Carnival time is very exciting period especially for party animals’ gatherings and full extravaganza for fashionistas who only search for the celebration to begin. Carnival as always has strong connection to embellishment trends in fashion. Every winter catwalks consists of at least a hint of a sparkles, shines and sequins in all possible forms and presentations. So it was for Winter 2012 fashion catwalks where many designers performed their own interpretations of the shimmering trend with their trademark ensembles. DriesVan Notendecided to go for collage compositions for his Winter fashion show. The same he did for embellishments that are presented in photomontage way of cut fabrics joined together in one ensemble. The effect is just stunning.
RobertoCavalliwith his affinity to animal prints joins a perfect marriage with glitzy prints patterns proving that his boho signature is an excellent look for Carnival fever. The trend is accentuated on the jackets as well as lightweight fabrics of tops and pants.
Dolce&Gabbana introduced 40s style dresses and skirts in calf-length with shimmering glam rock version with attached galaxy of rhinestone stars in David Bowie’s tone or noble hues of emerald. The combination of Milky Way and classic shapes gave a new definition toRock’n’Roll quiff.
Stella McCartney introduced her sporty stamp on the metallic pieces with feminine/masculine dimension. There were many bomber shapes, crinkly materials with golden glitters resembling gift-wrapping paper in a glamour version.
VivienneWestwoodwants her women to be fashionistas on their full that is why she performed glitter drenched outfits. Luminous fabrics of the ensembles match with a perfect harmony with the shoes. Great selection of glittering pieces – gold brocade leggings, all shine suits, silver and jacquard clothing, gold shine shoes of all kind, wrinkled gold fabrics.
Balmain with the signature of glam rock divas set up a vibe 70’s tune with chic, shimmering suits and gold accentuated tuxedos, silver polish on the trousers and sparkling touch of the apparels. Very glamorous version of androgynous influence in Balmain catwalk interested with finesse and simplicity in the same time.
Dianevon Furstenberg’s embellishments have very stylish and natural taste with metallic V neck dress, gold kissed graphics and well toned sets with color blocking panels.
Marc by MarcJacobsmade a great twist over retro filter in embellishments with metallic leather jackets, sequined tops and gold rush bottoms.
Reed Krakoff gave the tribute to the glitter through shimmering fabrics like patent leather, fish scale sequins clashed with simplicity.
RoksandraIlincic’s aspect about polish and structure explained her imaginative designs with plastic gloss joined with sci-fi dots and liquid fabrics.
Gareth Pugh’s consolidation in individuality proves his every single collection. Reffering to the Winter 2012 season Gareth continues his innovative designs going along with unstoppable flow of inspirations about embellishments. Futuristic goths of Pugh were dressed up in golden sequins ornamentations with black base.
