Top Pre-Fall Lookbooks 2012 – Part I

Maybe in our minds we are figuring out the wardrobe picks for holiday season and Carnival. However, fashion is always fast forward from the nature and that is the reason why most of the big fashion houses and designers are preparing the next season of Fall 2012. With great steps, plenty of fashion labels released their in-between collections. Known as Pre-Falls they are some kind of preparation for the audience. Pre-Fall collections’ function is to fill the gap in the period spot between main collections as well as to present some ideas of fashion candies prepared for the big Fall show. Let’s make a spotlight into the brightest dreams through Pre-Fall 2012 Lookbooks:
Chanel – one of the most prestigious labels in the world is known for exquisite fashion shows including in-between collections. For the Pre-Fall seasonKarlLagerfeld turned his face into head-to-toe Indian inspirations. We have Indian inspired jewels motifs like headpieces and piercing. Some dresses resemble saris while skirts over pants forms Hindu style.
Jason Wu also inspired with Indian culture decided to mix the style Hindu maharajas, American school girls and illustrations of Charley Harper with minimal style and simple silhouettes enriched with embroidered detailing.
Helmut Lang’s stamp is emphasized by intricate knitwear bearing a striking resemblance to the spider webs. There is a great room for creativity: lightweight prints, sheer panels, lace structure on the top, voluminous jackets, cigarette pants and draped dresses.
Phillip Lim takes inspirations from the comic books presenting clothing for superheroes. There are cashmere sweaters and jackets with oversized cartoon block fonts, jackets made of high tech fabrics, outfits in Technicolor idea. The main intention of the designer was to create apparels that will have an adaptation into the pace of life that leads every modern woman.
Diane von Furstenberg – inspired by macadam hue, the collection peaks at city-dwellers’ taste with eye-catching geometry and wearable outfits of shift dresses and skirts.
Vera Vang joins Jane Birkin and YSL fondness of the late 60’s by lightweight fabrics, acid colored prints and delicate hues of orange and grey. The contrasting concept of the outwear shifts the look by military style of kimono jackets
Donna Karan 80’s charm melts with the palette of black, charcoal, ivory and navy. Office style of business women is visible through pencil skirts, calf length tunic dresses, and long mannish suits.
Narciso Rodriguez joins leather, fur, color blocking and his own canvas works into wearable ideas of sporty chic. The effect is tremendous.
Rag & Bone with the key piece – leather jacket, they conquer the hearts presenting uber city propositions with the clue for Indian influences for Fall next year.
Theyskens Theory bet for the darker side of the Fall with their metallic implementation. Different shades of black with shiny prints and androgynous hint outline the signature ofOliverTheyskens.
Michael Kors goes to Wild Wild West with the cowboy inspired collection for Pre-Fall 2012. There is a selection western stimulated pieces including of long coats, wide brimmed cowboy hats and boots, lengthy waterfall dresses with wide belts.
