In addition, we are speaking about widely commented movie of David Fincher called “Girl with the dragon Tattoo”. This is the latest adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s book “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, assumed to be one of the most awaiting films of the year. The main character – Lisbeth Salander has significant if not outrageous style for the biggest part of the society– rockabilly hairstyle, numerous piercing, and bleached eyebrows that makes her appearance even more harsh. In the movie, Lisbeth played by Rooney Mara is dress up in dark colors of tomboy – like yet stylish pieces of leather trousers, torn jeans, biker jackets, casual T-shirts and slouchy hoodies. Great thanks for such edgy and smart styling go to the costume designer Trish Summerville who stands behind the designs for the movie. Her own styling preferences do not go far from what she created for the film. That is also, why you have the feeling of authenticity.

The clothes have quite worn out look with numerous zippers, stitching details and holes giving slight punk outlook. The outwear clothes resemble armor construction implemented on leather racing jackets or hooded wool coats. Trish Summerville explains her goals about the H&M collection: “Salander’s look is very real and very lived in, with pieces that her character has worn for a long time, like her jackets that act as her armour to shield her from the world. I wanted the collection to have the essence and strength of Salander, with a fashion edge, and I’m pleased with the result! My goal is for women to find pieces in it that they love and then mix them with their own wardrobe to create their own personal style”.
