Vogue Covers – April 2012

There is a common belief in the fashion world that Vogue covers have very prestigious meaning either for a model or a celebrity featured on the front pages of Vogue magazine. As one of the most awaited cover images of the month, various editions of Vogue vary in diversity for fashion message. For the April editions, the front pages of Vogue magazine despite the different feel of a fashion refinement, they all have one common dominator – arrival of the spring season. Let’s take a look into the most prestigious Vogue covers for April 2012:
Vogue US decided to release an annual Shape Issue for April 2012. That is probably why they chose actress and singer – Jennifer Lopez – a perfect fit for the shape subject. Jennifer Lopez, 42 year old woman of success is photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Jennifer is dress up in a glamorous red gown from Bottega Veneta reflecting her own red carpet style. Sporting the latest trend of wet hair she poses on the picturesque seascape in the backdrop.
Vogue Australia indulges in gypsy inspirations for their April cover. We are introduced into the deluxe Romany styling with the captivating feature of the model Julia Frauhe. The photo captured by Kai Z Feng expresses a modish bohemian vibe with the sparkling outfit accompanied with the tousled blonde strands hidden under the witty hat. The styling was skillfully composed by fashion editor Naomi Smith.
Vogue Germany goes on the completely opposite art direction with the ascetic black and white cover featuring Iris Strubegger. The model is characterized into minimal chic tomboy type photographed in the lens of Peter Lindbergh.
